Raquel Zilberman

Training

Raquel completed her Bachelor of Science (Psychology) Degree at the University of New South Wales,  followed by a Master of Arts (Psychology) at the University of Sydney and then a Masters of Clinical Psychology at the University of Western Sydney.

Raquel has attended a variety of courses including Comorbid Substance Use and Mental Health Issues, Management of Suicidal Behaviour,  Disaster Training and Management, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Domestic Violence Training and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Raquel is registered to practice as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA and is registered as a provider of clinical psychology services with Medicare.   Raquel is also a board approved Clinical Supervisor.

Clinical Experience

Raquel has worked in community mental health settings, at Wollongong, Prince of Wales (POWH) and St Vincent’s (SVH) Hospitals, in both clinical and senior roles.  Initially, Raquel worked in adult mental health and has also worked directly with younger individuals with mental health issues and with families navigating mental health issues.  Raquel was involved in the pilot and initial stages of developing the Perinatal Mental Health services at POWH, as the Perinatal Mental Health Clinician.  Additionally, she was central to the Domestic Violence initiative at SVH in collaboration with other emergency services and non-government organisations.

Most recently Raquel contracted to the Australian Defence Force as the Senior Clinical Psychologist working with a range of mental health presentations including depression, trauma and workplace issues.

Raquel is interested in continuing to provide evidence-based psychological treatments and support to individuals with anxiety, depression, perinatal mental health issues, trauma, emotional regulation issues and substance use.
