Bee Lim

Training

Bee completed her BA (Hons) and PhD in Psychology at the University of Otago, New Zealand, and her Masters in Clinical Psychology at the Massey University of Wellington. She has undertaken advanced training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is also trained in Schema Therapy and Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy.

Bee is a fully registered psychologist who holds Clinical Psychology endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) and Medicare. She is a Full Member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association, and holds memberships with the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science, and the American Psychosocial Oncology Society.

 Interests

Bee works with adolescents, adults and couples with a wide range of issues, including the psychological aspects of cancer (e.g., adjustment difficulties, fear of cancer recurrence, and meaning making after cancer), depression, anxiety/stress, grief and bereavement, difficulties related to self-esteem, and interpersonal issues. She is also a fluent Mandarin Chinese speaker, and enjoy working with people and families from culturally- and linguistically-diverse backgrounds.
